Why do you teach spin?

I teach spin because it’s always been a passion of mine. It’s feels natural and I enjoy the connections that I’m able to make with people.

What is your favorite music to teach to?

My favorite music to teach to borders two extremes. I enjoy riding to a heavy southern hip hop beat with a lot of base and a heavy leg turnover. On the other hand I like a thought provoking song that draws out your emotions while you pedal and sends you into what I like to call a “mental meditation”. The common thread is that it usually involves a hill climb.

What is your favorite spin class “move”?

My favorite move would be a push-up/Tapback combination.

Why do you teach spin?

I teach because of my personal and fitness philosophy…No judgements: Have fun and be kind to yourself, and remember you chose to be here! I also hold true to 3 fundamental life goals 1. to stay active, 2. Listen to awesome music, 3. Connect with new people!

What is your favorite music to teach to?

Being from Atlanta, I have a pretty deep love for Ludacris and all southern hip hop, but I adore electropop artists like Frenship and The Chainsmokers. Throw in a remix and I love it no matter what genre!

What is your favorite spin class “move”?

Climbs and tapbacks – not mutually exclusive, but both really get me energized. Climbing is where you dig down deep, challenge yourself and do your hard work, and tap backs are the perfect way to have some fun to the music.

Why do you teach spin?

I teach spin to embrace the power of being present and leave every single fear, worry and doubt at the door. It’s 50 minutes of you, and no one else. Growing up as a dancer, music became a second language to me. Now, I get to use my passion for music and movement to motivate others which is pretty darn cool.
I encourage my riders to ride hard and from the heart. Let your expectations and mind go!

What is your favorite music to teach to?

I hate to be a cliche and say that I love all kinds of music…but it’s true! My music taste is truly everywhere. I love everything from EDM, hip hop, new wave to 90’s rock! I love to throw in some good mash ups and remixes, too. As long as the beat gets my heart pumping, I’m up for it!

What is your favorite spin class “move”?

Tapback’s and Figure 8’s are a must. But be prepared to work for sprints and some long heavy climbs!

Why do you teach spin?

I teach spin because I love making people feel good.  My goal is to make people leave class feeling transformed and proud of what they just accomplished…an awesome, music pumping, calorie burning, full -body work-out!

What is your favorite music to teach to?

I love mash-ups and remixes.  It’s fun watching my students recognize a song they love, mixed and mashed with other songs.  It makes for an awesome variety of genres and beats.

What is your favorite spin class “move”?

All of them!  The Vortex ride is designed to have a variety of sprints, jumps, climbs, tap backs…and each are fun to teach.  I love seeing the “ah ha” moment when people take themselves to the next level of resistance, speed and fitness level.
